In the end, there will only be one last standing

Break Punch is a competitive brawler and a party game based on a parry system and dynamic combat system.

Break Punch was made at IIM for the final project in a team of 12. The goal was to do a game targeting competitive players with a interesting and balance competitive combat system.

  • Narrative design : create the lore and make sure it is translated in the character’s animation, character’s move set/abilities, background’s look, ....

  • Bug tracking and QA testing.

What I learned/improved

  • Particularities of brawler/fighting game in Game Design.

  • Create a combat system with balance mechanics.

  • Work with the other poles of production (Art, Programmation especially).

  • How to follow and use production planning.

  • Report bugs effectively.

  • Make good character design that translate gameplay.

  • Translate narration/personality in another way than dialogue.

  • Work with unity.
